HISTORY OF ST. MARTIN'S HEALTHCARE
St. Martin’s Healthcare has been a wonderful blessing for DeKalb County. Originally conceived as a Christian outreach healthcare ministry by St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, SMHC opened its doors to the uninsured in October 2005. Striving to follow Christ’s commands in the gospel of Matthew to "love God as He first loved us and to love others as we love ourselves", SMHC’s story is one of love, need, hope, compassion, commitment, collaboration and action.
The Curiosity Shop
We are a nonprofit and most proceeds go to St. Martins Health Care which provides free health care to the underinsured or those without insurance. We are run by volunteers. We take any donations except electronics such as TVs.

Community Foundation DeKalb County
The Community Foundation DeKalb County promotes community philanthropy by offering local citizens the opportunity to create a charitable legacy that will sustain and improve life in our county. The Community Foundation provides a way for you to invest in the community’s future by creating permanent support for the charitable programs and organizations you care about.
Community Foundation of Noble County
We are passionate about making Noble County an even better place to call home. Since 1991, area residents have been turning to the Community Foundation of Noble County to make their philanthropic giving as effective as possible, as we see it as our mission to serve as a catalyst for positive change.
The Lutheran Foundation
The Lutheran Foundation is a Christ-centered ministry of the member Lutheran congregations in northeast Indiana, dedicated to demonstrating the compassion of Christ by promoting, improving, and enhancing the quality of life of the individuals, families, congregations, and communities whom it serves.
Olive B. Cole Foundation
The Cole Foundation was founded in 1954 by Richard R. Cole. He named the foundation after his mother Olive B. Cole. At the time of creating the Foundation, Mr. Cole transferred a small amount of Flint & Walling Manufacturing Company, Inc. stock to the Foundation. At the time of his death, he transferred additional shares of Flint & Walling, and a further number was transferred after the subsequent death of his mother.
Parkview DeKalb Hospital
We are responsible to the communities we serve. Unlike for-profit organizations which are responsible to their private owners and/or stockholders to produce a financial gain, a not-for-profit is legally and ethically bound to “do good” for the benefit of its community. Our governing board is made up of community leaders and earnings are reinvested for the benefit of the community.

Positioned in Indiana, PHP has a unique view of health and wellness, as well as the opportunity to engage members and families through our insurance products. Living and working in the same region as our members allows us to connect on a personal level, making sure health care decisions positively impact the communities we serve in. More so than ever, we are uniquely qualified and prepared to advance the health and well-being of Indiana as a trusted, local resource.
Three Rivers Credit Union Foundation
We strongly believe that giving our time and our talents are as important as providing monetary support. 3Rivers encourages our team members to get involved by volunteering at local non-profits and community events throughout the year. The credit union grants employees two paid volunteer days annually and dedicates one pre-determined federal holiday to host our all-team Give Back Day. Through these initiatives over the years, our team has volunteered thousands of hours to various causes.
